Loqus is a multifaceted business intelligence organisation providing both private and public organisations with Consulting and fully deployed ICT solutions.

We are technology lead and our focus is on creating innovative solutions that require intellectual endeavour. We started in 1989 as an early adopter of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and digital mapping. As datatrak solutions we expanded in 1999 into the Infomobility space with innovative tracking, dispatching and route optimisation products. By 2007 we were highly successful and had implemented our solutions with a number of blue chip companies in Europe. The transformation of the business has continued with the datatrak solutions subsidiary acquiring 50% of the datatrak group in 2007 and the group rebranded as Loqus to reflect the change in ownership and the expanded vision.

Today the Loqus group is one of the largest ICT companies in Malta and provides a range of business units with a primary focus on the following areas :

Infomobility

Tracking, dispatch and optimisation of both routes and process remain one of our mainstays. We have many customers involved in logistics, service management and transportation across Europe. Our solutions and services saved our clients millions of Euros annually by giving them a smarter way to work.

Law Enforcement

Our turnkey solutions deliver a highly efficient service at a low cost per transaction that means that our clients can focus on policy rather than operations.

Geomatics

Our roots are in this area and we still provide digital data to major brokers around the world which means that you will find our data in many navigation and online mapping systems. We also provide and maintain a number of land management solutions for the public sector. Our longest running solution dates to 1992.

ICT Solutions

This has been our growth area in the last three years and we are now a prime provider of ICT solutions to the public sector with a focus on e-enabling the public service with world-class partners such as Autonomy.

Consulting

Our consulting team is made up of experienced professionals with many decades of experience between them. Our areas of expertise are public policy, ICT, business reengineering and optimisation.



Strategic Objectives

The Loqus group have a clear set of short term and long term objectives to be a reliable, strategic partner of businesses and organizations, creating, managing and delivering comprehensive solutions and services that improve our clients' performance and development.

Our short term objectives are aimed to continue in the transformation of the group into a viable business that will guarantee reliability. The focus is to continue growing our business in terms of revenues and areas of expertise. This will allow us to improve profitability which will in turn give us greater financial stability and the capacity to keep on financing our research and development programs which underpin our innovation.

With the rebranding of the group as Loqus we have an opportunity to create our own brand image and brand value. This is vital in our effort to position our products and services competitively.

Our main long term strategic objectives are;

  • to create strategic partnerships with world class companies,
  • to strengthen our already strong position as a provider for solutions in tracking, dispatching and optimisation in Europe and become a leader in this market,
  • to improve and leverage our leadership position in the Maltese ICT market,
  • to become a significant player in providing first line support for large ERPs,
  • to continue investing in R&D to boost our innovation.
